Observations from Germany Trip September 2014

• Everybody seems angry in Düsseldorf. Guy yelled at me after I ignored his solicitation at train station. Screaming young men running around mad about something.

• Successfully talked with an old lady about the weather on the train

• Hotel desk clerk's way of speaking was really difficult to understand for me.

• Really old lady makes a point to walk through a pigeon ear a chip just to disrupt it. On her face is a look of utter disdain.

• "Tüte" is a bag you get when shopping.

• Lady stiffens up comically walking through a crowd with a look of fear and saucer eyes.

• Bachelor party all wearing "Bauern Sucht Frau" T-shirts. Mostly beefy guys with tattoos but last one to show up is smaller with glasses. Greets everyone and they make some noises acknowledging his presence. He puts arm around one guy but it's clearly not a comfortable situation. His hand balled in a fist and it seems like it's awkward for both of them. Never come realy puta his arm around friend. Then he withdrew his arm. Nothing was said to acknowledge the weirdness.

• Film museum: random room dedicated to platos republic

• Diagrammed sign instructing that men should not urinate into the toilet; they should only sit upon it.
