A human-alligator-dinosaur hybrid created in a laboratory. The goal of the original experiment was to use some extracted dinosaur DNA sequences to modify an alligator embryo. Unbeknownst to most of the laboratory staff, two of the scientists were engaged in a passionate sexual relationship. During a night shift during which the lovers were the sole workers in the lab, nature took its course, and due to a misfire, some DNA sequences were tainted. The experiment continue unabated, and the first time anyone knew there was a problem was when the alligator egg hatched, and Megasaurus Rex was born. Educated in a special school set up in the lab, Megasaurus Rex became a lover of classical literature and quite proficient in physics and mathematics.

As Megasaurus Rex continued to grow, it became increasingly difficult to house him in the laboratory. A deserted island off the coast of Florida was chosen as his home. The island was provided with satellite internet, and food, fresh water, and books are delivered to the island weekly. A connoisseur of fine tobacco products, Megasaurus Rex receives some of the finest pipe tobacco and cigars at regular intervals.

It is said that Megasaurus Rex continues to expand his knowlege of physics and mathematics and frequently concocts elaborate thought experiments to test his theories. His one life goal is to eventually be allowed to attend graduate school and become a physicist.
