New Hope

New Hope is a town in Buck's County,Pennsylvania. Until 1987, the town was named Horse Head. The town council proposed and the citizens approved a measure changing the name of the town to New Hope in honor of the movie Star Wars: A New Hope. The intention was that this name change would garner attention and result in donations from George Lucas for a Star Wars themed museum, which would attract tourists. Instead, Lucas sent a typed thank you note along with a cardboard cutout of the character C3P0.
