A mental disorder whereby a person associated to a kidnap victim comes to identify and sympathize with the associate's kidnapper. This can be due to influence by the kidnap victim or the kidnapper. The kidnapper himself may also fall victim to the disorder due to his forced association with the kidnap victim. In this case, the kidnapper begins to identify and sympathize with himself causing an emotional feedback loop. This loop may lead the kidnapper to fall into a catatonic state or in extreme cases to suffer from head explosion.
