A middle ages Celtic German ritual used to drive evil spirits from a man's body through the nipple. As the male nipples are not used, it was thought that they were a door into a man's soul that the devil could use to corrupt men. In middle german these were called Busendreher and nipple were called Teufelstor in middle German. The tradition was brought tot the United states by early German sellers and died out in central Europe. It was re imported as a fraternit ritual to central Europe after world War 2 with no knowledge of its earlier provenance remaining among most people
